Pinkfashion123Omega 3-6-9
Can someone explain the difference between Omega 3, 6 and 9? Should I be taking a supplement for all (if so how much.) I only really ever hear about Omega 3.

Skin BiologyDear Pinkfashion123:
You'll find information on our pages at:
Essential Fats in Your Diet -
http://reverseskinaging.com/diet3.htmlEssential fats, composed of omega-3s (present in fish oils and wild game as well in some plants—such as flaxseed, walnuts, raps, and blackcurrant) and omega-6s (found in plant oils), provide building blocks for many of the body’s hormones and other regulatory molecules.
Today, people eat about 14 times more omega-6 than omega-3 EFAs. This imbalance negatively impacts our health and the health of our skin.
Omega-3 and omega-6 fats differ only in the number and placement of the double bonds on their carbon chains. The recommended ration should be 2:1 of omega-3 to omega-6.
Omega-9 fatty acids are also a family of unsaturated fatty acids.
