Today, people eat about 14 times more omega-6 than omega-3 EFAs. This imbalance negatively impacts our health and the health of our skin. Omega-3 and omega-6 fats differ only in the number and placement of the double bonds on their carbon chains. The recommended ration should be 2:1 of omega-3 to omega-6. Omega-9 fatty acids are also a family of unsaturated fatty acids. Best Wishes, -Skin Biology |
