From my knowledge, it seems that GHK breaks down from exposure to the low pH of acids, like those found in alpha-hydroxy, beta-hydroxy, and vitamin C serums. Those products typically have a pH in the 2.0-3.5 range. But, many tretinoin creams typically do NOT have a low pH, with their pH's being closer to the neutral range of around 7.0. RetinA Micro and Tazorac are two that I know of that have a relatively high pH. Is the pH the reason the advice is always given to not use an acid at the same time of day as GHK? |
