onmywordPic Included - Cheek Injury
Hello Everyone,
I'm posting a photo of my cheek in hopes of some advice on which product to use to fix this bad situation.
Here's what happened: a pimple formed with an ingrown hair from shaving, after far too much squeezing and messing around - a very thick layer of skin came off, it's now red and indented.
This photo was taken 5 months after the incident and it has gotten better but the progress has substantially slowed down.

Dr. PickartTry just using CP Serum followed by Emu Oil.

onmywordWould the CP Serum help with the redness?
Would there be any possible negative effects such as turning the skin blue/green-ish?

Dr. PickartIt should help remove the redness.
We have not observed an negative effects. Overusing copper peptides may cause a brief irritation but reducing usage ends such problems.

onmywordthank you for the replies!
Would using a facial buffer pad help increase cell turnover?
Is that the goal with this type of wound or would that give a negative effect?
(of course we want redness to dissipate and skin to thicken up)
Is there a name for this type of scar/injury to assist in search queries ?

Dr. PickartA slightly abrasive skin buffer will remove some outer skin and help skin turnover.
The best approach is to go slow and use a mixture of hydroxy acids, abrasion, needling, copper peptides, etc. to find what works best for your skin.
