Lac10 and Exfol

Location: NY Registered: 01 July 2004 Posts: 61 | Hi Skin Biology , Im low on LacSal and have a large tube of Lac10 and Exfol . Could I mix the two together and have a similar strength of LacSal ? I normally use Lac10 on my neck and decollete and either Exfol or LacSal on my face . Cynthia VanVranken |
Location: Skin Biology in Bellevue, Washington - USA Registered: 22 June 2004 Posts: 4865 | Dear winterskisss: Actually mixing the two (Lactic Power - 10% lactic acid together with Exfol - 2% salicylic acid) should result in a 12% acid. You could mix a bit together and see how it works on your skin. But the mixture might actually come out being a bit stronger than standard LacSal (10% mix of 8.5% lactic / 1.5% salicylic acid). Some clients find that a 40% lactic acid peel works well for them (applied once or twice a month) - Then they just use our mild hydroxy acids for daily exfoliation. Best Wishes, -Skin Biology |
