could it be the iron deficiency causing diffuse graying and split-ends in some people rather than only copper deficiency?! Confused?

The general consensus is that most people have too much iron in modern culture. But you can easily be tested for your available iron in your blood.

I have been tested for low serum iron and low hemoglobin mcv> 77, although i consume a lot of red meat and liver. Could it be malabsorption ?.

Hi,
General there are various possible causes of hair loss, the major ones are as follow:
Stress
Drugs
Skin disorders
Testosterone
Menopause
Iron deficiency
Genetics and Aging

If iron in the body is low then this may cause hair loss and split-ends also, this is generally more a problem with women.
