I’d appreciate SB’s opinion about Neutrogena Sensitive Skin Sunblock Lotion SPF 30. I’m very fair-skinned and burn quickly, so a high SPF is a must. I’m hoping this sunblock is doing more good than harm.

The ingredients as stated on the bottle are: Titanium dioxide 9.1%, water, C12-15 alkyl benzoate, neopentyl glycol diethylhexanoate, glycerine, potassium cetyl phosphate, isopropyl c12-15 pareth-9 carboxylate, cetyl alcohol, phenoxyethanol, steareth-21, tocopherol, calcium pantothenate, camellia oleifera leaf extract, panthenol, bht, neopentyl glycol disosterate, aluminum hydroxide, iron hydroxide, steareth-2, stearic acid, trimethylolpropane, triethlhexanoate, acrylates/c10-30, alkyl acrylate crosspolymer, disodium edta, carbomer, butylenes glycol, triethanolamine, butylparaben, methylparaben, isobutylparaben, isopropylparaben.

We reviewed this ingredients with Dr. Pickart - Here are his comments:

"The sunblockers are the titanium dioxide, iron hydroxide, and aluminum hydroxide - these are OK. There does not seem to be any chemical UV absorbing oils.

The only problem is that they use many alien chemicals and could use more skin-natural ingredients."
