with non-nano zinc oxide powder, would you use emu oil or something else as the base?

My AM routine will be:
-cleanse
-exfoliate with Exfol cream or Lactic Acid 10% (wash off)
-sunscreen made by me!

I'll do my CPs at night.

Thanks!

Dear SaveMySkin:

We recommend pure unmicronized titanium dioxide.

Best Wishes,

From my experience, powders like titanium dioxide (and I assume zinc oxide too) will not mix well in pure oil, say squalane or emu. It will separate (I tried with squalane) and even mixing it before each application, the texture is awful and hard to evenly spread on the skin.

Titanium dioxide powder mixes much better with a lotion or cream. So you could mix for instance with any CP lotion.
