i have a red mark from a chemical peel i had 2 years ago, i have to keep the sun from hitting it,or it turns dark , but rubbing on suncreen or anything makes it more noticaeble as well. can i pat on suncreen onto the mark as opposed to rubbing in the sunscreen? will it absorb?

You want to use a generous amount of your sunscreen all over the exposed skin including the hyperpigmented damaged area and repeat the application soon after to get the proper sun protection and not necessary for absorption.

To spot treat a hyperpigmented scar, you may want to use copper peptides and an antioxidant oil regularly with a hydroxy acid in combination. You would want these products to absorb and penetrate the skin for any benefit to take place in this instance by massaging them onto your skin.
