Hi,

I just read that mineral sunscreens can damage the DNA in our skin. Is this true??
I believe that that chemical sunscreens can do more harm than good for the skin, but the repot about the mineral sunscreens scared me and now I don't know what's best for my skin.

Any help or advise?

Confused

The pure minerals are better. There are some studies that find that UV rays may generate some free radicals from the minerals. But so what? These are on the top of the skin and will not reach the growing cells in the skin.
