Would using emu oil under a chemical sunscreen cause the chemical to penetrate the skin more? I have never had a problem with chemical sunscreens until the last couple of years. I have been using emu oil the last couple of years and I have been putting a little of the emu oil under my sunscreen, probably most of the time. I never thought about it until I read the caution about using Retin A, Alpha Hydroxy acids or copper peptides. That it causes molecules to penetrate.

I wonder if that is the reason I am so irritated by chemical sunscreens now. Very interesting. Smiler

Thank you
Diane

Putting it under the sunscreen would protect the skin from the sunscreen and seems to me a good idea.

I was thinking that too, that the emu oil might protect the skin from the chemicals.

Oh well I guess using a physical sunscreen is better anyway, as long as I can find one that doesn't dry out my skin.

By the way, I have enjoyed reading your book it's nice easy reading. Full of infromation. Bravo!

Thank you
