Dr. Pickart,

Do you recommend drinking a collagen drink such as: amino sculpt collagen. This product recommends 2 tbs. per night for great skin, hair, sleep etc. Oprah had a show on this and the Japanese women swear by drinking collagen.

I actually drink this...I think I originally got this for my husband to help him loose weight while he sleeps...

It also claims to help you sleep better which is why I tried it...

I NEVER really even considered that it can be good for your hair & skin as well Confused? but it is like drinking gelatin which as far as I've always known IS good for your "hair, skin & nails"...Alone, I do NOT think it will do much in building NEW collagen, but taking it in conjunction with CPs & your collagen building supplements(MSM, Vit C, etc), I think it can be very beneficial...

I DO sleep like a baby!... Bored...

Hi Stoney,

Did your husband lose the weight. Actually I would like to build facial collagen and musle mass but the product is expensive and I am not sure if it will be worth the cost. Maybe Dr. Pickart will know if this is a good product.

Hi Dianemarie,

Actually, my husband did loose weight (about 30 lbs), but I'm NOT 100% sure if this from the AminoSculpt??...We both eat the identical diet which I did NOT change at all & he started taking DHEA to help, but I really don't know?

As far as collagen building, I have NO idea... but while there are many products out there making various claims (which may or may not be true), I DO believe we are a product of our diets...so for the price, reg gelatin may be just as good... Confused?...

MSM & Vit C supplements are helpful.... Thumbs UP!...

I also think Jello would work as well.
