Omega 3 fats are found in fish and some plant fats such as flaxseed oil, borage oil, and primrose oil. They tend to be anti-inflammatory and are usually too low in the modern diet. EPA and DHA are the two most important omega 3 fats. Omega 6 fats tend to be inflammatory and mainly arrive from corn oil and soybean oil. They are in great excess in modern diets. Few people need more of these. Alpha lipoic acid is called the Master Antioxidant and can recycle other antioxidants, such as vitamin C and vitamin E, for reuse. |
