This may sound strange but the last Cu peptide product I used for dark spots on my face stained the dark spots navy blue. Is this crepey skin product going to turn me blue also??

Dear QKitty: Thank you for posting! That is a very legitimate question. Although the copper peptides will really like to attach themselves to fats in the pores and a tint can show in clients with fair skin, there is a way around this! Step #1: Use only extremely light amounts when you are spot-treating. Color, to a large extent, will indicate strength. So most clients spot treating with strong creams (i.e. Super Cop 2X or GHK-Cu Crepey Skin Escape) will notice that these are a VERY dark navy or teal blue in color. But it is only necessary to apply a small amount to the skin. Work completely into the skin (product should go white/lighter blue and then fade). Massage in for 5-10 seconds. Try to avoid leaving a dab, or gob, of cream on the spot. Step #2: If you apply your light spot treatment at night, wash off in the morning... but use warm water to release any product that might have attached to the pores. Some clients hold a warm compress on the area to be sure that the pores release leftover product residue. Step #3: Always use a method of exfoliation when you are working with strong, dark copper peptides. This will not only help breakdown damaged skin proteins, accelerate skin cell turnover, but also help release leftover product on the skin and keep the pores nice, tight, and clear. Many like to use a method of manual exfoliation (microdermabrasion cloth) to more precisely control which areas to concentrate on and "buff away" any potential temporary staining. Step #4: If you find that spot treating with the darker copper peptides still leaves it mark, leave on the treatment for less time. Try leaving the product on for a max of 2-3 hours, then wash off with warm water to release any residue from the pores. You'll still gain benefit from the product, but reducing the amount of time a dark cream is left on lighter skin should do the trick in preventing the issue of temporary staining. If there are any other questions/concerns, please feel free to post or contact us. We are very happy to assist! Best Wishes, -Skin Biology
