Is Ginkgo absorbed through skin?
I take Ginkgo supplements about 4 times a week.
Recently, I read on the website of the store where I buy essential oils that
"There is evidences that shows that skin absorbs this herb [=ginkgo] and that it increases blood circulation in topical applications. This increase in blood flow to the skin layers helps the overall health of the skin. This herb is also anti-inflammatory."

They sell food grade Ginkgo (to make supplements i guess) and they claim it can also be added to topical products.

I searched for scientific evidence that Ginkgo can be absorbed through skin and I have not been able to find anything conclusive.
However I am still curious to know if anyone has heard proofs that actually Ginkgo can be helpful for skin inflammation when applied to the skin?

I don't know of any credible published data on gingko and skin function.

There are hundreds, if not thousands, of anti-inflammatories but almost all do very little during serious skin inflammation.
