Dear Skin Biology/Dr. Pickart

I understand that micronized zinc oxide and titanium dioxide in sunscreen is not recommended.
1) If I choose to use a micronized sunscreen, can emu oil or CP or any other substance be applied under the sunscreen to prevent absorption of the micronized particles?

2) Also Dr. Pickart suggested in a forum that micronized titanium dioxide can be okay depending on "how micronized it is". What particle size should the "micronized" titanium dioxide be for the sunscreen to be safe to use?

Thank you

A barrier of Emu Oil should keep it out of the skin.

As for micronized, I doubt if any clear sunblock is really safe for skin. The fear of the sun has been vastly overstated. Study after study is finding that people who get more sunlight are healthier.
