Hello Dr. Pickart,

I wanted to know if it is ok to use m-tranexamic acid aka tranexamic acid with the copper peptides?

Thank You,
Firefly

It may be OK unless it also binds the copper ion in the CPs.

From Wikipedia

Tranexamic acid (commonly marketed as Cyklokapron in the U.S. and as Transamin in Asia) is often prescribed for excessive bleeding. It is an antifibrinolytic that competitively inhibits the activation of plasminogen to plasmin, a molecule responsible for the degradation of fibrin. Fibrin is the basic framework for the formation of a blood clot in hemostasis. It has roughly 8 times the antifibrinolytic activity of an older analogue, ε-aminoacaproic acid.

Tranexamic Acid topically is used to lower level of melanin and reduce skin pigmentation.

There has been a report on retinal damage in dogs following long-term oral administration of tranexamic acid.

Dr. Pickart,

Is there any way of knowing for sure that it does not bind to the copper from CP?

Thank You,
