Are these creams are good to cover on top of peptide creams or serums? Now I use super ghk cream for eyes and cp serum for the face. The second cream contains Zinc oxide, but 3 years ago it was among recommended sunscreens on your site (also look at point 2).
2. 3 years ago there was link with sunscreens your company recommended . Here it is, but now it doesn't work unfortunately: http://reverseskinaging.com/sunlight6.html Is there information like that on your site now?And if not, could you please advice some companies with good sunblocks?
3. You have some creams with a little sunblock, but there is no information on the site about their spf quantity. I meen Protect & Restore Day Cover and Copper Sun Tanning & Firming Body Lotion. Could you please provide this information.
Thanks a lot!

Skin Biology
Dear Olala:
Yes. It's been very difficult for us to find a good sunscreen that we can conscientiously recommend to others.
We advise that clients thoroughly research the ingredients used in the sunscreen they are thinking about purchasing. Our main recommendation is to look for products that use pure un-micronized titanium dioxide.
There really is not a specific sunscreen that Skin Biology specifically endorses. But if you are looking for "healthier" sunscreen options, you can email us directly at: customerservice@skinbiology.com and put "Request for List Sunscreen Options" in the subject line.
In the meantime, we will do our best to address your questions (Dr. Pickart will probably chime in with his thoughts when he has the chance).
1. Your Current Products
First of all, it's good to continue to use Super GHK-Copper Cream for your eye area to stave off any skin issues. In the long run, this will be very helpful.
Although you could use these products on top of copper peptides if you wish, here's what Dr. Pickart has commented previously on the use of certain ingredients in each product:
---Clinique City Block Sheer SPF 25: If it is truly sheer, then first of all the titanium dioxide is not un-micronized. It is probably micronized to produce a clear product. See this post on How Much Damage from Micronized Minerals? - There Dr. Pickart mentions the fact that "it is very difficult to make any safe and transparent sun blocker".
This product also contains zinc oxide (which sometimes there is simply just not an alternative) - See information below for details on what to do if you cannot find a sunscreen that does not contain zinc.
Much of our site has changed, especially within the past 3 years. But you'll be happy to know that the educational details that you loved so much from the past are still available (and many times have been updated with more current information!) - Please contact us directly or send an email to customerservice@skinbiology.com and we'll update you on how to search for information.
3. Skin Biology Products That Contain Pure, Unmicronized Titanium Dioxide
We do carry a couple of copper peptide products fortified with UV reflectors, but they are not sold as sunscreens.
Due to very strict FDA laws and regulations, we do not advertise any of our products as "sunscreens" or "sun protectants".
• Zinc Oxide Sunscreens and Copper Peptide Products
If you are currently using copper peptide products for skin rejuvenation, Skin Biology advises that the best option for a sunscreen would be to look for products that use pure un-micronized titanium dioxide.
The issue with zinc oxide sunscreens is that (in theory) if the zinc oxide breaks down it can release zinc ions which could interfere with the actions of the copper ions.
It is noteworthy that many have reported enlarged pores when using zinc oxide products. Dr. Pickart's reasoning is that if the zinc oxide is going to block copper, it might also block skin rejuvenation which may be the reason why so many report enlarged pores when using zinc.
If you cannot find a sunscreen that does not contain zinc oxide, Dr. Pickart recommends to simply use your copper peptide product at the opposite time of day. For example, use your copper-peptide product in the evening and your zinc oxide product in the morning. Or you could apply a barrier in the form of a biological oil (i.e. Emu Oil) between the copper peptide product and zinc oxide product.
Regarding Chemicals Used in Popular Sunscreens such as Oxybenzone, Avobenzone and Octinoxate - Dr. Pickart has stated before: "Octinoxate is 4-Methoxycinnamic Acid 2-Ethylhexyl Ester - I would not use it. Avobenzone is worse... The real issue is when does your skin and body start taking up the toxic breakdown products from avobenzone... Avobenzone is sensitive to the properties of the solvent, being relatively stable in polar protic solvents and unstable in nonpolar environments. Also, when it is irradiated with UVA light, it generates a triplet excited state in the keto form which can either cause the avobenzone to degrade or it can transfer energy to biological targets and cause deleterious effects."
Why should this concern us? Because sunscreen chemicals are free radical generators. Free radicals react with other molecules and produce damage to the fats, proteins, and DNA of the cells - this is the type of damage that can result in rapid skin aging.
That is why we always recommend clients thoroughly research the ingredients used in the sunscreen they are thinking about purchasing.
