Will the new DMAE soon be available?

Dear KathyC:

Dr. Pickart will probably post on this tomorrow, but thanks for your inquiry.

We hope to have that for you to sample real soon. We'll announce it here first.

Best Wishes,
-Skin Bio Team

Thanks. I've been anxiously awaiting this product and have held off on buying any other brand! I'm excited to hear what type he decided to make and to try it.

We hope that in about three weeks we will be able to give our clients two versions of a DMAE product to test.

We tried several formulations that did not work well and had to go back to square one.

Yay! I'm sure it will be worth the wait.

I should have read everything before I replied to DMAE question in Wrinkle Reduction discussion. If I had known about this, I would have told thegoodwitch to just wait until the Pickart DMAE is out!

What does DMAE do for the skin and is it available yet? Confused

DMAE offers a temporary lifting or firming effect to some people, although some do not see any such results from using it at all. There is also evidence that there is a cumulative effect from using it regularly and in clinical trials it showed improvement after 16 weeks. The trials went on for 52 weeks with continuous improvement.

We have the lab making two more versions of DMAE. When they are ready, we will give the versions away with orders. We should have them by December 1.

Great. Thanks KathyC and Dr. Pickart. I think I didn't quite get half of your post, KathyC, but I got the drift. (Obviously no science major. History is my thing!)

I'll be taking advantage of the samples when they come out. How would I use the product in relation to my other products (say my cleanser, LacSal (or Exfol), CP serum, and Emu OilS. Oh, yes, and Day Cover Smiler

If Dr. Pickart has made a water based product, and I hope he has, and if you are using CPs, I would apply it this way:

Cleanse
CP Serum
DMAE (there may be a 10 min wait time recommended)
BHO

If you are using LacSal, apply it before the DMAE product.

We are still working on our latest DMAE formula but have a slowdown. We sent a bottle of DMAE to the manufacturing lab - about 50 miles north of our office by ground transportation.

If anyone wants DMAE now, I think I have found one that might be "worthy". I will be trying it out and will report back.

So, now, with the delay, when can we expect the DMAE product? I'm holding off on an order b/c of the impending DMAE, but I desperately need to get some stuff for the holidays (both to look good myself AND for presents).

We ordered more DMAE already. So I hope we have it in early December.

We should have it in early December and will give it away with orders for a time.

Hi Kathy. I recently ordered this DMAE, too. I've only been using it for about a week, but I have to say that I like it much better than the others that I've tried (Reviva, IN).

The glycerin in Reviva made my skin look shiny and I found the liquid IN annoying to apply.

The PSF product is a nice gel-like texture and feels very soothing when applied.

Have you tried it yet?

Dr Pickart, what ingredients did you use in your DMAE formulation?

Hi Jackie! I just received it last Friday. I have only applied it 3 or 4 times now, and I do like it. It is guaranteed 3% amine DMAE, and I also like the gel-like texture. I'm still trying it out though, and would like to get through a couple of bottles before I give my final opinion. I remember buying IN's DMAE and finding a great effect in one batch and the next batch was a dud, so I want to give this a fair test.

It is alkaline, so I am applying it to clean skin and waiting 30 minutes before applying anything else to get the best bang for my buck! Where are you putting it in your routine? Big Grin

It will be a little like CP Serum but with the SRCPs replaced with DMAE.

It will be water based serum and not a gel formula then? Can you tell us, Dr. Pickart, what the pH will be? It would make a difference as far as the order of application is concerned. Thank you.
