NEW: Custom Avatars Available
Dear Skin Biology Chat Forum Members:

We'd like to welcome you to send us any picture or picture link you'd like for us to create a Custom Avatar for you.

What is an AVATAR?
It is an image or pict that represents you and appears everytime you post. (For Example: Our Avatar that Skin Biology/ Skin Bio Team uses is a picture of goddesses taken from the painting "Diana Leaving Her Bath" by Francois Boucher in 1724). Stock Avatars are available by going into your personal profile and clicking on Avatar / Picture URL...Edit.

You can choose from one of the many stock pictures/symbols that we have to personalize your posts and add a "character" to your messages. Now, if you don't find an image in the stock picts that suits your personality you can email us with one.

Please make sure your file is not too large (needs to be 72 dpi - if you're not sure that's okay). And please make sure the picture is not copyrighted or distasteful to our chat group members.

We can work up a Custom Avatar for you if your supplied picture is compatible. Depending on the number of requests, turn around time will be around 3-5 days.

Thank you,
-Skin Bio Team

http://www.allavatars.com also has a nice range of pre-packaaged Avatars, These are free for individual use.

Though the Skin Bio board is not set-up to allow you to upload your avatar manually - you can use the images to forward to Skin Bio for them to work with. (I could not find a way to do it anyway)

It would be nice if it was set up where we could manualy link to our images stored elsewhere (http://www.photobucket.com for example) or upload our images to this site, to add to our profile.
