Location: New York Registered: 03 March 2011 Posts: 119 | I'm considering a combination glycolic/lactic GEL peel. Has anyone done one of these combo "gel" peels? How does a gel peel differ from regular acid peels? Advantages of one over the other? |
Location: Indiana Registered: 06 February 2010 Posts: 2118 | I've used both types. Some vendors of Gel peels would have you believe they are different. But there is no notable difference. Some may do a little better with one type or the other but I've noticed no difference. IMO the Gel vs Regular is like serving up an Entree on a blue plate or a red plate. The Entree is still the same. |

Location: Indiana Registered: 06 February 2010 Posts: 2118 | Current stock is: Glycolic: ASDM Beverly Hills. Lactic: Derma_solutions. Salicylic: Skin Beauty Solutions. The Glycolic is real professional strength. The other two are Ebay strength. About what you would expect. Moderate in strength compared to professional. On the application ease question. On the face I have not noticed any difference but I actually do prefer a gel or thicker consistency type peel on the body for easier application. They tend to stay put better and not run. |
