I am hoping on your comments on these whether they damage the skin, or just are placebo's ? I don't know if you recommend make up (I am a retired hairdress, licensed cosmetician and make up artist) but just am looking for a simple, yet effective make up foundation. I know you don't comment on specific companies, but if you recommend one, please do ! Thank you for your wonderful products ! ~Rita |

Location: Canada Registered: 02 January 2012 Posts: 52 | Hello Dr. Pickart! Well, I didn't buy the product yet, so not sure if I have other ingredients. But this is the link that said about Haloxyl and Eyeliss http://www.coverfx.com/medfx/blog/?p=1356 Well, interesting I can see an ingredient list. What a list ! Would Love to see your comment on this. (This is their Eye PrepFX) I only care for the skin powder not this likely: Thanks! Active Ingredients: Haloxyl How Haloxyl works is by literally loosening the blood fragments which populate under the skin in the eye area. Loose particles like these are actually small fragments of blood that leak out from capillaries. These are the exact cause of dark circles under the eyes. When an eye serum uses Haloxyl at the right concentration, it works to flush out that pigmented blood with each application. Eyeliss Eyeliss is an ingredient that works to treat the puffy bags under the eyes. Under-eye bags are causd due to the fluid that passes through your capillary walls as well as lymphatic drainage. Lymphatic drainage promotes a healthy lymphatic system. Location: Canada Registered: 02 January 2012 Posts: 52 | The first was the link of their eye wrinkle cream. Here is an ingredient listing for the actual face powder foundation. Would something like this be "neutral" sitting on the skin after our CP's etc ? I just don't want it undoing the remodelling work I'm achieving with Skin Biology! I was hoping pure powder foundation (my preference) would be less invasive than, liquid ? Comments ? Active Ingredients 1. Sunscreen Actives: Octinoxate 7.5%, Octocrylene 5%, Oxybenzone 2% Full Spectrum UVA and UVB Protection: SPF 30 i. Helps reduce and prevent the appearance of fine lines caused by aging, smoking, gravity and sun damage ii. UVB is associated with sunburn iii. New information suggests an association between UVA and malignant melanoma, the most serious type of skin cancer (over 1 million new skin cancer cases will be diagnosed in North America this year) iv. UV radiation has a damaging affect on the immune system, skin cells, and collagen and elastin fibres v. UV radiation is the leading cause of premature skin aging and wrinkling vi. According to the FDA (Food and Drug Administration): “Always wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen with Sun Protection Factor (SPF) 15 or more, which will block both UVA and UVB.” 2. Bisabolol: i. Main active ingredient of the chamomile plant ii. Anti-inflammatory: Protects and reduces skin irritation and sensitivity (calms down redness and makes our products tolerable) 3. Dermafix Technology: Developed by COVER FX laboratories vii. Contributes to Water Resistance viii. Binds to the skin - allows for ‘stay-put’ all-day coverage ix. Ability to build extra coverage in ‘problem’ areas – Concealer/Foundation-in-one 4. Vitamin E: x. Protects from inflammation: reduces erythema and skin sensitivity xi. Soothes and promotes tissue repair xii. Anti-oxidant: Protects our natural skin lipids, collagen and elastin fibres from degradation – thereby preventing premature wrinkles Ingredients Diisostearyl Malate Polyglyceryl-2 Triisostearate Synthetic Beeswax Carnauba Wax Magnesium Silicate Hydrogenated Polyisobutene Neopentyl Glycol Dicaprate Tricontanyl PVP Tocopherol Bisabolol Cholesteryl Hydroxystearate Triethoxycaprylyl Silane Dehydroacetic Acid BHT May Contain: Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891) Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499) Chromium Oxide Greens (CI 77288) Diisostearyl Malate Polyglyceryl-2 Triisostearate Synthetic Beeswax Carnauba Wax Magnesium Silicate Hydrogenated Polyisobutene Neopentyl Glycol Dicaprate Tricontanyl PVP Tocopherol Bisabolol Cholesteryl Hydroxystearate Triethoxycaprylyl Silane Dehydroacetic Acid BHT May Contain: Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891) Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499) Chromium Oxide Greens (CI 77288) |

Chyrsin is a steroid used by body builders. I can't find any studies other than company material from Sederma. |

so, would you recommend 'against' these. I would hate to use something that will undo my health or my skinbiology progress? One would hope we could use a simple foundation make up and not injure our skin or health! But we can never tell. Would using my CP's faithfully, protect me if I used this powder foundation ? Thank you Dr. Pickart for your research ! ~Rita |
