I would not use it.

The chemical sunscreen oils get into the skin and generate free radicals.

Darn... any thoughts or suggestions on what to use on kids?

Thanks so much!

Helloooo!

I use Aubrey Organics SPF 25 Greet Tea Protective Sunscreen for my kids.

The ingredients are:

ACTIVE: PADIMATE O, TITANIAM DIOXIDE

INACTIVE: coconut fatty acid cream base, jojoba butter, organic jojoba oil, organic sunflower oil, white camelia oil, organic shea buter, organic aloe vera, lecithin, canadian willowhearb extract, aubrey's preservative (citris seed extact, vitamins A, C & E), organic greet tea powder (matcha), silica, jasmine oil, organic blue camomile oil.

As far as I know, there can be allergy problems with Padimate O (PABA Ester), but it's not toxic.

Dr. Pickart, please correct me if I'm wrong.

CatFish it's not an easy job picking sunscreens for oursleves or our kids. They are all slightly "evil", each in their own way. We just have to find the least offensive I think. This has been the closest I've been able to find.

Please let me know if you come across any other product that might be of interest (not "micronized" & no chemicals)

Have a great night!

Thanks!

This might be a good choice. PABA can cause allergies but is non-toxic and I doubt it generates free radicals. Some references say it inhibits free radicals.

We plan to add more into our sunscreen advice.

Anyone else who has found a "good sunscreen", please put it on the Forum.

Thank you both so much!! I appreciated it.

I will post if I find anything else that's not toxic.

Thanks again,

It looks good but some women say zinc oxide makes their pores larger. Zinc may be released by skin acids and block the (constant) skin rebuilding actions of copper.
