I worry about burning on my face so I've used Aubrey Saving Face SPF 15 which has allowed a gradual but lighter tan on my face. I would like to use an SPF of 8 at this point on my face but cannot find a chemical free one with an SPF less than 15. I have tried SB tanning lotion and Day Cover but cannot stand the lavender smell -- really wish SB would make an unscented version. Is it possible to reducle the SPF by adding water? Here are the ingredients of the Saving Face SPF 15: ACTIVE INGREDIENTS: Zinc Oxide 12% INACTIVE INGREDIENTS: Purified water, simmondsia chinensis (jojoba) oil*, helianthus annuus (sunflower) seed oil*, galactoarabinan, glyceryl stearate, cetearyl alcohol, stearic acid and sodium cocoyl glutamate, butyrospermum parkii (shea) butter*, camellia sinensis seed oil*, brassica campestris-aleurites fordi oil copolymer, aloe barbadensis leaf juice*, glycerin, epilobium angustifolium (Canadian willowherb) flower/leaf/stem extract, glyceryl caprylate and glyceryl undecylenate, leuconostoc/radish root ferment filtrate, lonicera japonica (Japanese honeysuckle) flower extract, lonicera caprifolium (honeysuckle) flower extract, populus tremuloides bark extract, gluconolactone, tocopherol (vitamin E), citric acid, xanthan gum. *Organic |

Others may chime in with their recommendations for a facial sunscreen that may be acceptable. We spoke with Dr. Pickart. He said that you can reduce the SPF by adding a bit of water. Or you could just apply a lighter amount. Best Wishes, -Skin Biology |
