I have worked hard to even out my skin tone (body included) for the last few years by using hydroquinone, glycolics, avoidance of sun, and now moving up to CPs.

While my skin looks so much better, I really miss a little color. I am a Fitz 1-2 with a tendency to freckle.I was wondering if anyone has found it possible to tan without the freckles?

I don't think it is possible. I tend to get light freckles and it seems as soon as summer hits I get them and it doesn't matter that I wear sunscreen and foundation with spf. Of course, it would be worse without the sunscreen.
