I made mine with simply a moisturizing lotion that I liked and that was not excessively greasy, and I added about 10% Titanium Dioxide powder. My own reason is that I just wanted to save some money, because most sunscreens are so expensive, and its anyway hard to find titanium only ones. I paid 1 oz of titanium dioxide powder about 2.50$... and that is enough for a looooong time. I use it also when I do sports outdoor and it works great. Keep in mind that it tends to be pastry, thats inevitable and necessary for sun protection. I personally added some jojoba oil because that made the overall lotion less pastry (but its not greasy at all anyway). This message has been edited. The only thing I could find was 1lb. much more then I need in it is in crystal form. Say you have 10 ounces of lotion you just mix in about 1 ounce of TD to get around 10% concentration? Any special instructions or do you just mix it in? I'm seriously thinking about adding some to Daycover. Thanks BW MaxxC |
