Dr. Pickart, I read in a thread that you were saying that some people take a periodic break from supplements, such as 1 week/month or 2 days/week, in order to "reset" the body responses. I have a couple of questions:

1) Which strategy would you recommend, the 2 days weekly break or the 1 week monthly break?

2) In the days of supplements break, should skin treatments (CPs and Hydroxy Acids) be suspended as well (supposing there is no irritation going on)?

Many thanks!

Dear Rossana:

This is an interesting topic - When Dr. Pickart is able to we are sure he will post his thoughts on the subject.

But we do know that taking periodic breaks from the products has worked for some to "jump start" the skin rejuvenation process as it were, improving their results.

Typically these are short breaks allowing the skin to "catch up with itself" by using only a mild exfoliator or biological oil as a moisturizer to rest the skin.

Best Wishes,
-Skin Biology

One week breaks work well for many people.
