I'm still playing around with makeup. Right now I'm trying mineral makeup, though I don't like putting it on my whole face. Just spots. Makeup is tough, because after meticulously using only the best for your skin, almost all makeup seems to fall short quality-wise. I wish the minerals were lighter. I have to admit that even with the lightest application, they look pasty to my eye. I'm wondering what would happen if I mixed minerals with emu Eeker LOL Sounds gross.(I'm just sitting here laughing.- kinda ridiculous)

I've used Lorac in the past and it's not bad. Supposedly it's created for sensitive skin. Prescriptives has a nice color range, but I can't vouch for the quality. I have also used Pupa in the past which I've enjoyed, but it's hard to find.

It really depends on what you're looking for - what kind of cosmetics do you mean? foundation base? colors?

For me, I rarely use a cream concealer or base because - well, they don't really look good unless you use them only over certain spots, and that only gets worse as women age (it accentuates lines and odd textures). I think they're pretty bad for you skin, too.

I found a great loose face powder by Bloom in a pale yellow that neutralizes and flatters pale and pinkish skin. (It's got talc in it, so if you care abuot your lungs, hold your breath.) I suspect most loose powders work pretty well reguardless of price, so long as the color is blended well for your skin.

For colored cosmetics, Bare Essensuals makes the most wonderful eyeshadows in the most brilliant range of colors I've ever used. I would expect no less of their blush, though I haven't tried it. I really dislike the mineral foundation, though. I don't think any company has made a good one.

If you have other questions about makeup products, tell us what kind you like to use and how, and what your concerns are. I was once a makeup junky, so I know a lot of random stuff about products.
