Hi, I was wondering what advantage is there in using a lactic acid peel 1 or 2 times a week.
Thanks |

What strength are you intending to use? I like 10% left on my skin for a couple of minutes. I listen to my skin as to frequency of use. When it's feeling sensitive, I skip it.
Lactic acid is an exfoliator and at 10% is very mild but effective. If not overused, it seems to combat drying of the skin and leaves it soft. I like to follow my lactic acid treatments immediately with CP serums. |

Lactic acid is considered an AHA. It exfoliates the skin, shedding the top l;ayers of dead skin cells so the skin looks fresher, pores don't get clogged, etc.
There's lots of info at Alpha Hydroxy Acids It is important to follow the use instructions on the label. Do not exceed the recommended applications. Make sure you test any product on a small area of skin to see if it causes irritation, and if it does, don't use the product. and make sure you use sun protection, cause your skin willbe more sensitive. |
