Can increaed levels of HGH(Human Growth Hormone0 boost cell renewal?

I've read about it from another website that encourages youthful skin.

Maybe not for me, but for older patients who wish to have a quicker skin recovery....

I've heard of people getting HGH injections, but it is very contoversial and carries risk. Besides, you are very young. I urge you to not get involved with that sort of thing.

I was speaking to an older colleague at woprk, and she was thinking of supplementing with L-Glutamine, L-arginine and L-Lysine in order to boost growth horm production. She lead to this website of whom the doctor claims that increased HGH from natural food sources and/or supplements will increase collagen and GAG production, hence revealing younger skin.

I may not necessariyl need it now, but it's good knowledge to carry for say 30 years from now when I realise my first wrinkle...

Ah, well I'm glad that it's not for you!

I wouldn't know about amino acid supplementation, because I wouldn't supplement with individual amino acids.

How are you, Roke?

I am not aware that any kind of supplementation can boost HGH levels for a significant length of time.

Research has shown that HGH injections do restore a more youthful skin, remove body fat, increase muscle mass, and accomplish a few other things more characteristic of a younger person. Taken under a doctor's supervision (HGH injections are prescription only in the US), they are safe, now that the HGH is no longer farmed from cadavers. However, they are very expensive -- about $5,000 a year minimum -- and are not something to mess around with, especially just to get rid of a wrinkle.

I'm wondering about these L-Glutamine, L-arginine and L-Lysine supplements myself.

I do know some women can experience menopausal symptoms as early as in their twenties.
