Restylane. Encapsulated materiel.
Hello,

I recently asked about help to remove a big fat lump under my eye, that once was injected as a fillertreatment (Restylane).

The treatment was 3 years ago.

The Restylane team told me, that sometimes it can get encapsulated and then dissolve slower.

DR. Pickart said the same thing. He said, that he thought it may have been the immune system that made the filler get hardened/encapsulated.

My one million dollar question is:

Can i expect it to ever dissolve, if it is true, that the encapsulation is the problem?

I'm not so happy about the idea of surgical removal.

Also, if it has been hardened like this, will massage help at all?

Note:

I'm not happy with the idea of Hyaluronidase either.

When the immune system detects foreign matter in the body, it forms a protective capsule around the foreign matter.

Surgery would probably be the best option. It should be simple. A small incision and then extraction.

Thanks for the answer.

I was afraid you would suggest that. Smiler

Just some wondering here:

What does that protective capsule contain? Is it scar tissue?

Will it never break down itself?

Dr. Pickart
It is similar to thickened blemish tissue.

There is no solution. I have tried everything. And Copper peptides won't help you. In fact, none of the products you can buy on reverseskinaging.com will help you.

It seems like the only solution is surgery...

Hello Simba and Fjellebasse,

Quoted from above Dr. Pickart did say surgery would probably be your best option:

If you decide to have the surgery, remember that taking good care of yourself after the surgery can help to rebuild the skin and improve health.

Best Wishes

Hello again Fjellebasse! I must ask you, do your lump get smaller with time or do it have the same size for three years? I have heard that restylane can stay under the eyes for severel years so maby your lump will disolve by time? Embarrased
