This is for Dr. Pickart or any other of you gents.

What degree of thinness or plumpness do you prefer in a woman? I know that it's a really funny question, but I ask it in earnest. You see, my skin looks pretty good at a higher weight, but bodywise, I'd prefer to be more than twenty lb. thinner. I've lost weight before, but my skin looks lousy when I do.

I want to be pleasing, but I really don';t know what men prefer. Embarrased

Extreme thinness, such as we see in fashion models, is not healthy. The best answer is a moderate amount of weight coupled with regular aerobic exercise. Being happy with yourself is very important regardless of what fashion magazine try to tell us.

And as the horse raising people say, "The plump ponies give the best ride".
