I was hoping to get your opinion on azelaic acid. I use it sparingly for about one week out of each month to help with hormonal outbreaks.

Since I am using the copper peptides for skin rejuvenation, I am attempting to not get any new scars and the azelaic acid is the only thing that seems to work for my occasional blemishes.

Is it safe to use with the first generation copper peptides?

It is safe to use with copper peptides. But it would be better if you used one in the morning and the other in the evening.

Hi Dr. Pickart,

Thanks for the prompt reply!

I have pared my skin care regimen down to lactic acid/enzymes and a mild turmeric cream during the day and copper peptides and squalane oil at night but I was worried about the azelaic acid interfering with the copper peptides.

I'll use them at opposite ends of the day.
