AnnieEye Make Up Remover Suggestions?
Are the new Micellar Water removers safe for our delicate eye skin and lashes? Does Skin Biology have any suggestions to remove mascara, eyeliner etc without tugging at lashes or irritating skin?

Skin BiologyDear Annie:
Thanks for posting your question!
Loosening up
makeup with a
biological moisturizing oil actually works wonders to remove even waterproof makeup / mascara, without damaging the delicate skin
around the eye area.
See our page on
Avoid Damage from Chemical Cosmetics - Under the "About the Condition" tab, you'll find the following beauty tip!
Makeup and Skin Care: How to Protect Your Skin After Makeup Sessions - Use Only Biological Oils to Remove MakeupOne of the best model beauty secrets for gorgeous supermodel skin is removing makeup with biological oils, a great improvement over harsh chemical makeup removers that seem to dry out the skin. Oils such as
Emu Oil-S or
Squalane can be used to remove eye makeup. Either one of these can be applied lightly to the area, rub gently removing even water-resistant makeup, then wash thoroughly with warm water. By removing eye makeup in this manner the skin is afforded the lipid replenishers that it needs.
Dr. Pickart's Facial Cleanser can also be used after makeup is removed. Since many soaps and cleansers not only remove surface dirt and oils, but actually damage the skin by destroying its natural protective acid mantle, a gentler yet effective cleanser is needed to keep your skin looking its best.
Afterward,
Super GHK Copper or
CP Serum can be lightly applied on the face. Our serums and creams have been formulated much as a makeup base so makeup can be applied on top as well.
Following
CP Serum with a light application of
Emu Oil-S will help your skin retain a
healthy glow.
