I love the skin biology skin products and regularly use CP serum,Exfol serum,Emu oil, in addition to Retin A 2-3 times per week. I was wondering if it would be possible to formulate a product which helps with skin redness. I tend to have redness around near my nose and on my chin. It does not look like classic rosacea. I just think I have sensitive skin in general which gets red and slightly swollen from touching it or when my allergies flare up.
I have read that licorice extract, tea extracts, feverfew and coffee berry extract, is good for calming red skin but most products on the market with those actives have allot of bad skin wetting ingredients mixed in the cream or serums. I think a serum with some of those actives in your great emu oil or a light serum would be great for a new skin bio product maybe with some added reservatrol, standardized acai extract, and some flavanoids from dark chocolates. Or perhaps put some redness calming ingredients in a light cooling spray..Call it "Cool Down- redness relief" or something. I know that redness in skin is not an uncommon problem these days and especially if a person has allergies, sensitive skin, or is over 30. Not sure how that would react in a mammalian skin cell though. Best Wishes, Kieran This message has been edited. Last edited by: Lynxrufus, |

Some clients have said Super Cop cream reduced rosacea problems.
The redness is inflammation and the SRCPs have a huge number of anti-inflammatory actions. They increase the anti-oxidant proteins superoxide dismutase and decorin. They suppress tumor necrosis factor alpha (the master inflammatory cytokine), TGF-beta-1 (the scar forming protein), and Interleukin 1 (causes tissue breakdown). They block tissue damage by oxygen free radicals and reactive carbonyl species. But always start the products lightly on reddish skin, then if OK, use more with time. |
