I am a bit confused on why the quality of the site and products have gone south. My last order of Super CP Serum was so runny that it literally spilled out of the bottle like water. Also, I never got my samples. I have ordered here for over a year, spending well over 400 dollars and usually the service is good. I have tried to contact Customer Service, and though I was able to talk to someone who assured me my sample would be sent: it never was. E-mails were never responded to after my phone call. I decided to re-order my Super CP Serum one more time earlier today. I really hope this next order isn't as bad as the last.

We will replace your products. Send an email to customerservice@skinbiology.com.

That product was made by an outside manufacturer. We are aware of occasional quality problems and have set up our own internal laboratory to improve the quality and manufacture products. In time, most or all of our products will be manufactured at Skin Biology.

Hi Dr. Pickart. Is the Super CP Serum made in your lab? I just ordered a 4 oz. bottle along with emu oil for skin and efol serum. I have been in bio labs that I wouldn't trust to make me herbasides for my lawn, let alone a product that is going to be on my skin. With that being said, are the labs that your products are being made in checked by you or someone else on a regular basis for quality control?

Sorry about the slow reply. I have been hiding on an island and working on manuscripts on skin remodeling.

We will replace any defective products.

We now are producing all the products except Gentle Clean, the Shampoo, and the Conditioner.

But some of the orders over the past few months used our stockpiles of products from the former manufacturer. Most of these are OK but some have had problems. We discard any defective products but the problem with serums turning watery develops over time. Our new CP Serum looks very good and we hope will resist the breakdown on the cellulose polymers that give the thickness.

I am new to skin biology and after reading this post, realized that I, too, have the watery Super CP Serum. When I emailed customer service, they said they cannot replace it and that it is fine, but this thread says that the watery serum was made by an outside manufacturer and that it is not the quality product you usually offer. Can you let me know if the product I am using (very watery serum) is the right product or not? As I said, I'm new so I didn't know what to expect and didn't think anything of the watery consistency until I read this. Also, I might add, I haven't had any reaction (positive or negative) to using the straight, undiluted Super CP Serum right from the start. Perhaps this is a weak solution?

Please advise and thanks so much for your help!

Hello Dr.Pickart,

I have sent three e-mails to you and skinbiology and still haven't heard back...I know you were away for some time, so could you please advise if the e-mails in your box will be answered or do I have to re-submit it? I also tried to call and got a message that the pnone number is out of service.
Thank you for your time!

We will replace any watery Super CP Serum. Send a message to me at lorenpickart@skinbiology.com and I will make certain it is done.

I have been hiding on San Juan Island and writing for most of the past month. We have finished the changes to the 2nd edition of Reverse Skin Aging and it is being proof-read by several persons. I also have finished a 20 pages review on SRCPs that will published in a book on wound healing. Then I have April presentation on skin remodeling at the Wound Healing Society meeting in San Diego in April.

Our phone numbers should be OK.

It looks like I got one of the watery ones too...it actually looks just like the Folligen Spray.

I'll call the office on Monday regarding this.

The watery products are as strong.

It just has too little of the cellulose used as a thickening agent.

I would like to defend skin boilogy here.. i know its nice to have the slightly thicker liquid, but it doesnt bother me at all if its a bit runny.

what u want to be more concerned about is the colour of the liquid if its a very magnificent blue, its good stuff.

you really only need worry about if its a slight green/yellow colour.

any super blue and im quite certain its good.
i wouldnt worry about the thickness but thats just me as long as the stuff is working & packed full of good stuff im happy.

I didn't quite realize it until I saw this thread that my Super CP Serum is quite watery as well. The thicker serum would be nice, but I'll finish up this bottle first. I have a lot left, it will probably last me a few more months. When I use it tonight I will look at the color, but I'm pretty sure it "magnificant" blue.

When I used it last night and looked at it, I noticed it does look kind of green when it is in my hand, although it looks blue inside the bottle. I just tilted the bottle and looked at it against the white background of the label and it looks green. I don't know though if that is really a problem or not though.

The recent CP serum I received a few weeks ago is very different to previous CP serum I have used in that there is a thick milky white layer that settles in the bottom. Just wondering what it is? I have to shake the bottle quite vigorously for it to integrate.

Just ignore the material that settles. It is the cellulose thickener. The serums are clear after we make them, but some cellulose precipitates out with time. We could add detergents, or quasi-detergents, to stabilize the serums, but these are not good for skin.

The serums still have the same amount of copper peptide in the liquid.

We are trying to get stable and thicker serums. Our more recent serums are better.

If the product that you have is unusable, we will replace it.

One thing i certainly think is positive about the light watery product, is, that you can literally apply the products after the saying "less is more". Keep that in mind folks!

Actually, many people actually prefer the watery product.

But I think we are solving the problem in the lab.
