Hello,

I was wondering how using a dermaroller stimulates and forces buried damage to be brought to the surface? It is a fascinating theory and I need to remember to incorporate dermarolling more into my routine. I already do so much but I know that is definetly an integral component.

ALso, When I am being aggressive and using exfoliators and super cop 2x on my worst chemical burn scar it starts to look like a keloid scar, very white and bumpy, rough and slightly raised, (as opposed to being just a flat, white, hypopigmentation scar.) Is this "buried damage" coming to the surface or just swelling from the super cop 2x. It is hard to tell. Sometimes when I get aggressive with that scar it starts to change and appear that damage is being brought up, etc. but then when I take it slow over a few days it reverts back to looking the same, back to point one. Will I ever actually break through and find lasting scar reduction?!?

I use 0.5 mm dermaroller in series of two months then rest or every other day for a longer time.
I'ts frustrating with scars and it's easy to over-treat them. If you are aggresive user then use a mild copper product , if you have a 0.2-0.3mm roller you can put a stronger cp-product on. I cannot advice you to use rollers over 1.0 mm when if you are to agressive . You may tear the skin and make a new scar to treat.
Use 0.5 mm for 6 months with a mild cp-product and alter the rolling sessions with lac-sal,
then you get a nice exfoliation and a smooth result. Have patience!

I am not exactly sure how it works, but ROLLING in conjucntion with CPs allows CPs to penetrate the skin deeper at the same time stimulating the skin & buried damage starts to push up a few days afterwards...it is not very pretty though... Confused...so you want to work on the obvious before ROLLING again.

Damage can only be revealed one layer at a time, so the level closer to the surface will be the 1st to be exposed. Using a longer needle ROLLER will not bring the deeper damage up sooner. It doesn't work that way. So in hindsight, I think that a .5mm ROLLER would suffice from any type of acne related damage. It must be used over a period of time to remove each layer along with Hyroxys & CPs.

I am still working on the deepest, oldest most stubborn level. Once that is gone, it is smoooooth sailing for Smiler me!...

Thanks everyone for you thoughtful replies!

How often do you roll using your .5mm?

Do you apply copper peptides immediately after the roll session or wait a while?

Hello Olivia
A typical procedure with 0.5 mm is to work the SCPS in (A serum is best), Dilute a few drops with water and keep the treatment area soaked with SCPS and water, Be sure to work on the scars, wrinkles in different directions, let the procedure take time at first time you try.
A tingling feeling and a flush feeling is normal,
the next days can your skin look plumped and red-pink. You can cover with a good standard make up. One night a week you should apply lac-sal or a light peeling agent to remove
eventual lymph that is stuck on the skin-surface. If you have a strong skin or thick lesions (or are aa man, with the thicker skin) you may do needling every other day.
Let the skin rest sometimes to show your fresh skin!
Robert

That's intersting Eniac...My ROLLING experience while similar was somewhat different than yours. I suppose it depends on the kind of damage under the skin. I believe the reaction my skin had to ROLLING & CPs comes from the way that BP abnormally healed my blemishes... Confused

Generally, about 2 - 3 days after ROLLING damage starts to push up. But it can take weeks to completely remove & heal any resurfacing spots properly with CPs & Hydroxys.

Most of my ROLLS were 2 - 3 weeks apart to allow complete healing before moving on. The "Old/ ultra deep level" that I am currently working on is going on 8 weeks in the healing dept.... So I still keep my "paper bags" handy... Red Face... The newer, closer to the surface damage healed much quicker.

Once the "dark demon" are gone for good, I'll need a NEW project to work on... Confused?...perhaps something NOT quite as challenging as "fixing my face"!... Laughing

Also, I just wanted to mention that there is a HUGE misconception in the dermatological industry regarding skin & how damage accumulates under the surface. For the MOST part this "close-minded old school of thinking" is why so many have a hard time grasping the concept of "Out with the OLD/ In with the NEW".

You MUST realize that the bumps, pits, uneven texture, etc. on the surface of our NOT perfectly smooth faces is from scar tissue that has replaced healthy tissue in our skin's attempt to repair itself back to normal from breakouts.

Stimulating the skin with the ROLLER & CPs gets the scars to start to move around & slowly over TIME the damage surfaces enough to be removed & CPs go to work to totally "repair & regenerate" the skin. I tried to explain this to an MD friend who was totally baffled... Confused?... He thought I was coming from the twilight zone when I told him his "procedure only" way of thinking is was somewhat antiquated & he needed to come out of the dark ages when it comes to "Skin Remodeling & Repair".

For me, the most ingriguing part after damage is removed is how CPs totally rebuild the skin to brand NEW with no further scarring... Thumbs UP!

Thanks Again Dr. Pickart for your "Skin Renewal MIRACLE"... Love...for me Anti-Aging is only secondary!

I think we do have the final understanding now about how GHK-Copper and the other remodeling CPs work.

Look at http://reverseskinaging.com/GH...untain_of_Youth.html

The problem in dermatology is the lack of serious, in depth, scientific work. I first knew in 1969 that the strange biological activity became GHK was a small tripeptide. It takes time and a huge amount of work to understand how tissues regenerate.
