I have three skin rollers, a .25 mm, a .75 mm, and a 1.5 mm. I have used the .75 mm roller on the hypertrophic scar on my chest, sometimes for several days in a row with no adverse reactions and there is never any blood. It is just a nice plumping of the skin with a lot of circulation drawn to the area as well. But I wonder if it is beneficial to roll everyday. Is it counter productive to roll so often. I don't ever have "down time" from rolling with the .75 mm roller, the area gets a little swollen, and then calms down in about an hour or less. When I ordered the roller from Clear Skin Care, they told me I could roll every day with no problems.

But, is it best to wait to give the skin a chance to recover, even though to me it looks fine the next day?

I have never used the 1.5 mm or the .25 mm. I am actually a little intimidated by the 1.5 mm. But, I am thinking maybe the .25 mm would be better to use daily and the .75 mm once every several days.

Is there any real advantage to using the 1.5 mm? It seems the consensus now is moving towards longer isn't always better with rollers, that maybe just as good results can be had with more conservative lengths. Anyway, any feedback and sharing of personal experience with rollers would be appreciated.

Thanks Wink

Dear lilac:

We always recommend to contact the manufacturer of the skin rolling device you are currently using for specific concerns.

It is always best to go slow and carefully monitor your skin's reaction. Overuse of these devices can cause irritation and other unwanted effects. So use sound judgement.

In our experience in skin care, "stronger" (or a more aggressive method) does not always equal "better".

Best Wishes,
