I think I must be loosing any feeling I have of my face.... I have accidently used my dermabrasion cloth so much my face is very red, red raw- sore and I am going to have to stay indoors a few days by the looks of things...I wasnt looking in the mirror while I was using it...
Is there anyway of helping it to heal more quickly?? Im pretty sure I cant do much damage with the dermabrasion cloth, my skin always looks great after a good scub, but tonight, I went WAY overboard. I excpect it will probably scab a little OUCH. MY CHEEKS HURT. WORSE THAN ROLLING. |

Well I have decided to take advantage of how raw my skin feels and looks, and I will be rubbing diluted cps into my cheeks twice tomorrow, and everyday until it heals-hopefully ive messed with some of the scar tissue enough to cause some change!
My cheeks have stopped 'stinging' (I even rubbed my lips with the cloth!mistake number 2..) Im just trying to make the best of a painful and silly situation. (Aside from that- I looked at a photo from last year -before I began using cps and emu oil lacsal and a dermabrasion cloth- there is a difference to a photo taken today, my skin IS changing for the better now,(after the uglies) and with the new dermaroller and diabetic needles im pretty sure in about year from now I will be almost 'there'.) |

Don't panic Celestial. Your skin will rebound, just keep the area moist with Emu Oil. It will react just like when you overdo a peel a little, turning brownish color tomorrow, then peeling the next day. Getting overanxious may have actually done your skin some good...
I myself "overcooked my cheek" This has been a daunting, challenging feat to accomplish, but I will see it through! The rest of the "little buggers" will be history too...I am almost there. |

Ummm WOW. Ive done something -good. By accident, not reccomended...yet.
Im healing well, I ended up wiping aloe vera right from the garden on the friction burnt skin.. some scabbig is starting to fall off, and whats underneath....what WAS very indented cheeks, are now noticably smoother. Also using cps and emu oil, every few hours. I think I accidently did something comparable to 'dermabrasion' on my face... it will be about 3-5 days before the scabs come off. I was in pain, and my skin did bleed and weep a bit for 24 hrs. I am interested to see how much healing comes from such injury, so far it looks amazing. Could be swelling so im not saying anything has changed yet, but if it has helped as much as it seems, id do this again - a few times. will keep you posted. |

Wow, Celestial, that's great to hear
It really didn't take too long to start to see positive results either. I think you may have inspired me to get a microdermabrasion cloth. "The most exciting phrase to hear in science, the one that heralds new discoveries, is not 'Eureka!' but 'That's funny...'. " Isaac Asimov |

A dermbrasion cloth is probably one of the best investments ive made.
WHEN USED PROPERLY they do reveal a cleaner/clearer complexion. I realised what I did now- Id done a sacylic peel a few hours prior, and my skin wasnt ready for the cloth...I think laser and all my treatments have numbed the nerves in my face, because I couldnt feel any pain-...at the time. 10 mins after my shower brave ol me was crying from the pain and burning /stinging. Now im wearing a big hat and the lady next door is bringing me aloe and food!! Im healing really well, but not leaving the house again today, NO WAY. The injury I somehow gave myself is comparable to when I had Co2 laser. Or a gravel rash. I have blackish scabs in tiny spots all over my cheeks. I DO NOT reccomend scrubbing your skin OFF like I accidently did. It could leave some scarring and or pigmentation and is a serious wound. I could have done THIS with sandpaper! I look an absolute fright. I am hoping my skin recovers well, time will tell. 3 days indoors so far, and id guess I have about 3-4 to go before scabbing is gone. I have even taken some anti-biotic just incase. I WOULD NOT RECCOMEND ANYONE DO THIS. Be careful with the dermabrasion cloths!!! |

Your aloe probably also helped. Most aloe products are fake.
The FDA's definition of aloe vera gel is 1 part dry aloe and 199 parts water. So commercial aloe products can contain very little aloe. The "aloe vera gel" is usually just one of many ingredients. |

This is very PURE, im breaking the aloe from the plant, peeling the plant open, and scooping the goo onto my face.
Its a bit green no added perfumes, 100% aloe goo. |

Well, the scabs have mostly gone, overnight, I kept applying CPs mixed with emu and aloe from the plant, every few hours...today I looked in my car rear vision mirror, and got the shock of my LIFE.
I still have scars, BUT, they are shallower, and there is a definate improvement in the texture of the skin on my cheeks. Today- my skin looks 50% better than before I went overboard with the cloth. I have never seen such a change. Im really amazed. Now I can clearly see the places where I didnt cause damage, and theres no change in those areas. I will wait a week, keep applying aloe, Cps and emu and let my skin settle before I decide that this really made a difference. |

Celestial, Glad to hear things are improving with your "Aloe & Emu"!
You have to keep in mind that you only abraded the top surface of your skin & the scars are underneath. So they will NOT be gone just like that. The skin heals from the inside out, so abrading the top will help the scars to push up closer & they will be less shallow. That is why even those who have invasive laser procdures done, do NOT get complete results with just one session. It is done layers with 6 months or more to heal the 1st session. Often more damage is incurred in the recovery period unless CPs are used on a regular basis. For me that deepest, oldest damage which I am working on is turning out to be the MOST challenging to deal with. I am struggling with finishing it off...the whole process takes TIME & a lot of "paper bag days". It is worth it in the end though!... |

Stoney- the scars havent 'dissapeaered' *bugger!, BUT, theres a change, and its noticable to me..(im my worst critic) I guess this mess is the first time in a while ive REALLY looked close at my skin....
I think what im noticing is a combo of .2mm rolling regularly, using CPs lacsal and emu for over a year...combined with my recent individual needling..and regular demabrasion cloth use... I went through 'uglies'(worse looking scars).. and what I see now is shallower scars, less orange peel effect a clearer complexion- my skin IS smoothing itself out, SLOWLY. SB products WORK- No doubt, the best discovery I ever made, but like all good things, they take TIME to make a difference. What I see now, after the cloth injury, is some HOPE...first real results ive seen since laser burnt my skin into this scar mess... and ive had many treatments. I am excited I can now see changes are happening. I hope my delivery comes this week, I only have a few drops of my super CP left! Again, I DO NOT RECCOMEND anyone overdo a dermabrasion cloth, it hurt more than a professional needling session, could have gotten infected, and im lucky I healed so well. |

Yes Celestial, I can honestly say that my skin was 1,000X worse than I ever thought...
I got away with what looked like decent looking skin MOST of my life. It was like Cinderella when the clock struck 12:00 on the eve of my 47th B-Day. That is when I started to notice the change for the worse. My skin started to thin from the natural aging process & my "mirror mirror" began to reveal the truth that was only "masked" by years of BP use. I really had no idea what I was seeing???... In hindsight, Now I understand why it has taken me so long to win the war in my total skin renewal. It took 30 yrs to accumulate the damage, so even with my dedication using CPs, it can't be reversed overnight. However, I am closing in on the 2 yr mark in Jan with using aggressive methods & CPS which will soon reveal "the skin I aways wanted". I have a pic of me that I will post in the red LED thread when I get a chance. It was taken on XMAS Day when I was 46. You would have never known the ugly truth about what was buried under my skin. This actually has been very hard for me, but the last 2 yrs have been a sacrifice & committment I have made to "undo the NASTY damage. I am just grateful that I have found SB & Dr. Pickart's CPs which has been my dream come true... Just keep at it the best you can until the damage is gone for good! |

Celestial, it's great that you finally are seeing some noticeable results, and what you thought was a disaster turned out so well. Here's hoping that it keeps getting better and better for you. It is when you start to see some noticeable results that it really makes a difference and keeps that all important motivation up, and the dramatic results really rock and lead you to believe that you will finally get to your goal. I hear you too about being 'my worst critic'. I study the minutiae of the scar on my chest and even though I do definitely see changes happening, I can sometimes talk myself out of the fact and make myself believe it really isn't working. And then sometimes I think it is working, but it's soooo sloooowwww, which in the grand scheme of things, it really isn't. The process has sped up a lot lately (mostly from studying the posts from people like you
