PART DEUX-
I am glad we started a new thread. Here is a very long, infomative thread on needling: http://www.essentialdayspa.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid...ostorder=asc&start=0 SW- Glad to hear your skin is looking better. As an off topic comment- Summerwave, I think you should write children's books. You have very descriptive language that I think kids will enjoy. Just a thought I had while pooper scooping. My best thinking times! Hope everyone has a great day and a safe 4th. This message has been edited. Last edited by: Ophelia--, |

Ophelia, glad you think of me while scooping poop! LOL
Thank you on the writing complement, who knows, you may be talking to the next Harry Potter-esque author. I could call my work "Alien Plugs from the Deep", although I must give Stoney credit for coining the term "alien plugs". |

I look forward to your skin care routine, Stoney. Just when you get a chance. I know you are busy with jam-making and more

Summerwave,
I'm just waiting to hear back from Dr. Pickart on the wait time for applying Emu or Squalane after CPs & LacSal/Exfol... I think his reply will be beneficial to add for those who want to get the most out of their routine... Of course, I feel that it's better to apply one after the other (CPs/Emu & LacSal/Emu) if you don't have the time to wait, to at least get some benefits ...just don't want to apply LacSal/Exfol to close to your CPs... ...opposite end of the day for those will probably work for most... Are you following me??? ...this reply isn't for newcomers, but I hope to make it a little simpler when I hear back from Dr. Pickart Also, do you think I should bring out my 6 Stage Plan for those who may just be starting? Do you really think it will get anyones attention??? -or- Are you personally, just interested in my routine...Please let me know... Stoney |

I just got my LacSal serum today, and used it for the first time. I am wondering how best to combine that, TTT, and the other things I use in the a.m. I didn't use TTT today.
I was wanting to see how you are doing it, and I'm sure it will help newbies as well. What do you mean your 6 Stage Plan? Is that the roman numerals thing about the stages one goes through with their skin? It can't hurt to post, whatever it is. |

1st apply LacSal, then TTT, then Emu Oil, then Day Cover...SS last if needed
I haven't got my Gentle Clean cleanser yet, I'll use mine in the shower...something to look forward to... |

Oh ya, the 6 stages that we all have to go through to achieve a "clear, flawless complexion"...it's kinda CUTE & I'm sure almost everyone can relate...don't you think?

Thanks for letting me know the order of your a.m. routine! That will help tomorrow. Are you waiting between LacSal and TTT? I don't think I'm gonna do much waiting, especially in the a.m. routine. It might be a bit less effective, but it must have some effect. Oh, I just got out of the shower and I used Gentle Clean liquid in there! It lathers nicely and has the same good smell as the bar soap. It takes very little too. I'm going to look for a pump dispenser for mine, to make it even more convenient and better able to control how much comes out. I wonder where I can get a pump to fit that bottle? Or else I will just transfer some of it to a pump dispenser. |

Summerwave,
No, I really don't wait between LacSal & TTT...it doesn't come natural to me to clock the whole thing... ...I'm hoping Dr. Pickart doesn't "burst my bubble" by saying you need to wait to apply Emu Oil either... It's not mentioned anyway on his website, so you must be getting some benefits or I wouldn't be as far along as I am... |

Hey, Not only is it "4th of July", it is the 3 month anniversary since I started using the 1.5 mm Derma Roller to help with my facial scar & bump reduction...
...I've seen some "Amazing Results" Most of the problems on my face came from the use of BPs (benzoyl peroxide)...I noticed small white bumps trapped under my skin starting about 15 yrs ago... I thought they were some weird form of acne being caused by my "Hair Conditions & Shampoo" or something????...While the surface of my skin was "Clear & Blemish-Free", I spot treated these trapped bumps with BPs in hopes to zap them, over time it only got worse...they became deeper, more numerous & more puzzling to me???? It was 2 yrs ago (then 47), when I finally stopped using BP's altogether that my skin took a turn for the worse...I call it ***BP REVENGE***... The bumps became raised & scar-like as if I had "BAD ACNE" all of my life...I DID NOT!!! Many of you may be experiencing the same thing, but not realizing what is actually going on... Here's a summary for those who are NEW & still trying to figure it out...It may help you too: To sum it all up: The 6 Stages for those of us with ("Not so perfect, crummy, lousy, blemished, alien-like skin") are: I - Embarressment II - Depression & Desperation III - Frustration & Confusion IV - Dedication V - Amazement VI - Maintenance Of course, Copper Peptides are what get us over the first 3 stages & move us into: Here is my routine which you may want to use as a guideline for yourself...you may have to tweak it to fit your needs & life-style, but it may help: AM: Cleanse - (use a lower acid PH cleanser to help protect the "Acid Mantle" of your skin...if not sure use, SB Gentle Clean) LacSal - or - Exfol TTT (Two Time Tightner) - DMAE has proven tightening properties Emu Oil Day Cover (everyday) Sunscreen (on outdoor days) Mineral Makeup PM: Cleanse CP Serum or Super CP Serum (spot treat w/ Super Cop or Super Cop 2X on target areas) Night Eyes or Super GHK Squalane w/ Retinol - or - Emu Oil P & R Reg (Optional) That's it - "Consistency & Dedication" I'll add the roller instruction after I get another cup of coffee This message has been edited. I have been using 1.5 mm roller to help with my scars & many, many white trapped plugs under the surface of the skin caused by BP use...
It's easy & extremely effective, though "intimidating"...(it doesn't hurt, like you may think)... Put some ice cubes in a wash cloth & go over entire face...this helps close the pores to give you a better surface for penetration & will help "numb" a little...(you really don't need a numbing cream) Follow the directions on the box & start very conservatively... after your finished, your face will turn a bright pink or red (like after a strong glycolic peel)... that's the inflamation..."This is good"....the redness only lasts about 15 - 30 min. Right after rolling apply your Cp or Super CP serum (it may sting a little, but that means its penetrating deeper into the skin) Yeah!!!! Wait 30 min if you can, then apply your Emu-Oil (this pushes the CPs further in & helps with any stinging)... Try rolling a week later, your 2nd roll may be the one that really gets things moving under your skin (the bad guys, I mean if you have any trapped bumps).... If things start to emerge from under the skin you may need to wait until things calm down before rolling again.... I started rolling on 4/04 & have seen "DRAMATIC", nearly complete improvement in my skin... ...I will keep it up ... OH, DID I MENTION - "GET RID OF YOUR BPs!" Please let me know if you have any other questions... |

I did it Summerwave...
I managed to get this ALL on page 1 of Vol II of this thread in hopes that many others would see... ...that was your intention, wasn't it???? I hope Foxe comes back to join on the new thread...she knows a lot about "wait time" between using products that may help others who may want to "up the ante" even more to "move things along"... Even if you can't always do the "wait thing" realistically, it's nice to know the intervals when you do have the extra time to spend... Foxe, If you've found this thread...Maybe you can help out???....Please....Pretty, Please....with Sugar on Top!!!!.... Stoney |

Yes, you did good by compiling things all together like that! That will aid anyone starting out or needing to reference back to something.

I am trying to figure out why you put P & R at the end of your p.m. routine?

A: I have it ...
B: It tones down my Squalane or Emu & locks it all in... (like Day Cover in AM) C: I do need extra moisturization for my 50ish (what Dr. Pickart calls "Mature Skin")... D: I don't know? |

OK well I just wanted to clarify that in case any newbies are thinking it's a requirement, plus I was just curious.
