Hi,
I was wondering if I can just use my retin a as my exfoliator? I already use vitamin c serum, super cp serum, skin signals along with retin a. I do not thin my skin can take much more active product. Is retin a sufficient for "moving and stimulating" scar tissue and helping to slogh it off once it reaches the surface? |

I use Retin-A .1 every night with my super cop -it is stronger than the Lacsal and I get more exfoliation. It's what I've used for the last 25 years. I do use Lacsal occasionally now on my scar and I like it around my eyes as it doesn't seem to be as harsh. I think because I've used the Retin-A for so long I don't get as much exfoliation as some people, but it seems more than the Lacsal.

Thanks,
Do you put Retin a on after or before the super Cop? |

At this point I just rub the super cop in, let it dry on my scar and then rub the Retin A in. I jumped through hoops for months waiting 30 minutes in between, etc, and never saw much progress so I just figured what the heck, rub them both in and let the chips fall where they may. I've been doing this for a year now and it was getting too frustrating for me to follow some kind of protocol to get guaranteed success that never happened. You have to realize that mine is a razor scar that was only about 3 months old when I started so I was not trying to improve an old scar. Some improvement I may see now may have come from a natural healing process but I see nothing to lose in continuing to use the products and maybe something to gain. I just am not into following rules any more trying to achieve the perfect ph level for things to work properly if you get my jist. I think everyone just has to experiment and see what works for them. I honestly cannot say I have seen that much improvement in what I am trying to fix but since healing takes place under the skin, you never can tell. To me it never hurts to keep on trying since I am doing the retin-A anyway. I still like to use the lacsal around my eyes at night.
