I have heard some great things about castor oil, almond oil and lavender oil on the skin.....but I am looking for science and truth. How do you feel about the application of these oils on the skin??

Lavender Oil
Lavender Oil (Lavandula Officinalis) is added to most of our skin creams due to its positive effects on the skin. The fact that it has been used successfully on the skin for centuries also cannot be ignored.

Is Lavender a Skin Irritant or Photosensitizer?
“To be a photosensitizer, a molecule must produce damaging free radicals. This would be very difficult for our [copper peptide products] with all the antioxidants. We have never had a complaint about sensitizing.

The real question is: What compounds work best to make skin products? We are trying to keep near to the compounds that are in the skin naturally. We try to avoid alien synthetic chemicals. There is a 4,000 year history of using pure essential oils (lavender, sandalwood, ylang ylang, nutmeg, oud, patchouli) for skin concerns and I think there may be something good in this.”

Castor Oil / Almond Oil:

Typically we recommend the use of other biological oils which have had a great success rate among clients.

A light biological oil (derived from olive oil) or the use of emu oil may be the best option.
