which would be better for pitted scars, retin,aha's,bha.????

We are working on a mixed lactic acid and salicylic acid for reducing the appearance of scars. Both seem to help. The AHAs work better on the surface and the salicylates go deep down.

The Medicalia peel has been recommended to me. It has lactic, salciylic, and that acid starting with pyr...that I can never remember the spelling of.

will using retin a be eneough for pitted scars?

Don't know about retin-a vs salicylic acid on pitted scars, but I had successes spot treating small pitted scars with 12.6% leave-on salicylic acid. And as invasive as the acid was (which involved 7-10 days downtime), you still will have to repeat the procedure a few times with rest/recovery months in between each intensive skin remodeling cycles.

What about TCA? its the one used by most people on acne.org

Given that I only have mild breakouts and with various bioactives (Retin-A, salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, and maybe tea tree oil) available and combination therapy options, TCA is not an option for me personally.

Dark or ethnic skin should avoid TCA peels.

Besides the risks, TCA peels could be painful.
