Dr. Pickart,
I have a mole just above the nasal labial fold on the right side of my face that is barely raised above the surface of my skin and I have nicked the top of it the last two nights with my razor, causing it to bleed.

My questions to you are: I am not using my Super CP Serum until the top of the mole closes and scabs (if it will, that is). This, I believe, is what you advise in your book...is this correct? I have been using Diana Yvonne's 2% Salicylic Acid instead, hoping that now that the mole has been nicked and in effect, "opened", that the exfoliating properties of the 2% SA will start exfoliating the mole beneath the surface of my skin and eventually cause the mole to disappear altogether. Do I have this theory correct, or am I misleading myself in believing that the mole can disappear just before I nicked it with my razor, it bled, and now I am applying Salicylic Acid to it??

Please explain the ease or difficulty involved in removing facial moles (especially in the nasal labial fold area, if possible),if you don't mind...and also please let me know when you think it would be safe for me to start using the Super CP Serum again on my face, especially in the area near the mole.

Thanks very much, Dr. Pickart.

The mole effects were reported by our clients, usually after several months of use of our mild CPs and mild hydroxy acids.

Old dermatologists know about the hydroxy acid effect on moles but skin irritation was the problem. I think the hydroxys damage the mole tissue and the CPs help keep irritation down and speed skin rebuilding.

Strong hydroxys work best but be careful. Often a treated mole will darken or swell up, then fall off, leaving normal skin beneath.

Use a hydroxy at one time of the day and the CPs about 12 hours later.

Thank you very much for the suggestion, Dr. Pickart. Will do.
All the best,
John
