Hi,
Since using SRCPs the last 3 months I have notice in the last couple of weeks or so that I'm getting this dry raised spot above my upper lip. Is that something that will dry up and go away? Will it be dark and crusty? I cant really see it but I can feel it. I have been using a little super cop on my upper lip lines so I was just wondering if something is coming to the surface and will fall off eventually or if I should have this checked out by my doctor and maybe I should have it removed. Confused?

Thank you

Hello
I don't know if it is the same thing, but I had a similar flaky spot above my lip also. It took about a week to totally clear up. Just a small, flaky dry spot. It had no odd color and continued to kind of peel over several days. Now it is gone, so I just assume it was something the SRCPs brought up.
Maybe give it a bit of time and see what happens? I used a microcloth on it to hurry it along.

Hello,
Thank you for the reply. It could be the same thing then. I dont have a micro dermbrasion cloth but maybe I could use a little scrub on it to help it along. I just don't want a big brown spot on my lip that freezing it off would leave for awhile. So I hope it clears up like yours. Thumbs UP! Thank you!

Sometimes it is damaged skin that is being ejected.

Hi Stoney Waving

Yep! It's all gone, nice and smooth now. I don't know what it was but I finally started putting a little neosporin on it and it was gone in a week or less. Thanks for asking. Now if I could just keep these dry rough cheeks from coming back. Confused?

This is probably damaged tissue being pushed out by new keratinocytes (the cells that form the outer skin layer) moving to the surface. In one study of women in their 50s, the copper peptides were found to strongly increase the flow of new skin keratinocytes to the skin's surface. The new cells push up on the older proteins on the skin's surface.

So, does that mean that it will stop doing it if I use a good exfoliant daily like Exfol Cream or a high Retinol cream? It seems to be getting a little smoother now after 5 days of using Exfol Cream.

Thank you

You want the new skin to replace the older damaged skin. Just keep alternating CPs and hydroxy acids so the new skin keeps pushing up.
