I purchased a home TCA peel product and used it on my arms and shoulders to remove freckles. It definitely did remove the freckles, but also looks to have removed the epidermis layer of my skin. It was recommended not to use over 50% strength, but i think i used closer to 65% (very stupid me). After a week and a half, my skin is bright red.

I'm wondering what is the best thing i can do to reduce the redness? Will the redness go away after a few months on its own?

are they woozing or anything?

i highly recommend skinceuticals epiderm repair! it will sting for a minute or two, but it definitely calms down the red skin. once it calms down, i think you should go on the cp serum from that point. and don't use anything that will strip more of your skin. make sure to moisturize it so it won't dry out. emu oil does a good job but if you have a dry skin, try to mix it with thicker cream.

hope this helps!

After two weeks, the redness appears to be slightly diminishing. I have been using Neosporin to keep away bacteria and Eucerin to keep the skin moist. I have not seen any areas that appear infected.

I will definitely add CP Serum to my regimen while the skin is healing. I'll post back as the skin continues to heal.

oh my i have done the same thing and the same strength.my skin had pus comming out of it i am asian skin as well.I went on antibiotics for a week which helped heal the 1cm holes i had in my face.

4 weeks on i look like a monster.I am doing the following
1.taking supliments of primrose,vitamin e,zinc
2.using dermacel healing peptite serum
3.using rosehip oil,tea tree on the spot breakouts and thermaderm opc gel for healing after peels
4.I bought an agera plant and is helping the peeling i took the gel from the plant..actually started sticking the plant to my face and 2 hours i took it off and the gel was red and reduced the mess.

I will never do this again i have bought a 2,000 medical microdermabrasion machine to hel the areas which i did not do tca get infected because my skin keeps breaking out .my skin is horrendus.

raw red, holes, black marks where i put the tca

im only using natural oils and i have ordered cp srum etc,i have used that before but you got to do it very very very slowly as i burned my face from it so apply a tiny bit and dilute it for skin to adapt.

i do not think my face will get better for about a year i am on a dermatologist list and the doctor did nit know what do do

The best products for you would be CP Serum - lightly applied - followed by a light amount of Emu Oil.

It takes about two months to get badly damaged skin back into decent health.

The redness did go away after a few months and after a year, the skin is healed. Time seemed to fix it more than anything else.

Some of the locations where the TCA seemed a bit stronger than others are still noticeable as it went deeper into my skin and removed more of my natural pigmentation. But all of the redness is gone.

As humans, our bodies are a bit of an experiment, but i am done playing with TCA.

I still have some depigmented spots on my hands from 70% TCA burns. TCA is used in biochemistry research to precipitate proteins and I used it for my studies.

But the marks have greatly improved with time.

Did it get rid of your freckles, was it worth it?

I had no freckles. They usually disappear with age.

My freckles are going no where im afraid, im 25 and they have been here all my life, so trying exfol and cp serum, am going to incorporate twice weekly 40% Glycolic Acid into my routine aswell but want to wait a month until my skin gets used to exfol serum, no point rushing it.

I dont really hold out much hope to get rid of them ,they are all over my hands and arms.
