My son has been battling psoriasis - unsuccessfully - since he was 14. He is now 22. Nothing has really worked except some occasional clearing in the summertime after a LOT of time outside. The area around his scalp/forehead bothers him the most though his body is covered about 50% - nails and toenails, too, Of course, I read everything I can - this BioHeal looks interesting but he is reluctant to try anything since "nothing works, Mom." I would like to hear from some people who have used this product for severe psoriasis. I do not think steroids or methatraxate are an answer for a 22 year old - and all the doctors want to talk about costs 12000 to 30000 dollars! Would appreciate any comments. Thanks so much.

Dear lizzieg:

Hopefully others dealing with this same issue will post their comments - But here are the testimonials sent to us on BioHeal that we've posted at: http://www.bioheal.com/stoppsoriasisitching.html

BioHeal and Testimonials About Psoriasis:

Last spring I began using Skin Bio products to help my eczema/psoriasis problem ( I don't know which - the dermatologist just shrugged and handed me an emollient sample ) on my scalp. Because of my condition which caused patches of inflamed areas sometimes with tiny points of bleeding and scabs, I was unable to go to a hairdresser. They of course have health regulations which restrict them from cutting hair when there is broken skin.
After two months of regular use of the Skin Bio shampoo, Bioheal and/or CP serum on my scalp ( I used the sample size of Folligen Lotion and the sample size of Emu Oil but Bioheal and CP Serum regularly ) my scalp had no reddish inflamed areas nor any broken skin. I was able to go to the hairdresser for a professional cut for the first time in four years. It was very gratifying for me so I wanted to encourage others.

My scalp is not cured because I still have areas where my hair growth is not normal - only about half an inch long - but my hair is thick enough to cover it.

I had gotten my order for FOLLIGEN last tuesday and check this out. i had suffered psoriasis on my scalp including a psoriasis mark on my right widow's peak. after using your product ITS GONE. i am still trippin over that.

I am 75 and had a patch of psoriasis on the side of one eye for years. Dermatologists gave me medicines for years without success. Four nights of the Emu Oil for Skin cleared the psoriasis.
I also have used the CP Serum followed by the Emu Oil for several weeks and the pores on my face are much smaller and hardly noticeable.

Hello there, Dr. Pickart!
I haven't written you for some time, but I wanted to let you know that P&R Light has virtually eliminated my mother's psoriasis. It is truly amazing -- she had a large patch on her right forearm that was constantly irritated from rubbing against the armrest of her wheelchair, and nothing was helping, so I gave her a tube of the Light version. It showed immediate improvement, so when she finished one tube, and the psoriasis was diminished by about 50%, we got her another tube right away. Once that one was finished, there was just a light trace left, and we ordered a 4 ounce tube. She's barely gotten started on that one, and it's practically gone! What's really impressive to us is that P&R worked even during a very stressful period of time for her (and stress is a notorious trigger for psoriasis). She will never be without your product again!

The SRCPs suppress the production of alpha TNF. Many reseachers think excess alpha TNF causes psoriasis.

I have had psoriasis since I was 18. I'm 47 now and the past two years have been the absolute best w/ controlling psoriasis. I have been through every topical imaginable, PUVA & UVB treatments, even laser which did absolutely nothing.

I had to switch Dr's b/c I moved and when I went to the new Dr - he prescribed something I had never used. First, I started w/ OLUX foam combined w/ Devonex. The results after 3 wks were amazing!!! Having used this for approx 8 months, there were still spots on my feet and hands that were not going away so we stopped the OLUX and moved to Clobex spray + Dovenex. My feet and hands started clearing even up more. By this time, all I had left was knuckles, sides of feet, very little on elbow and a few small spots on thighs and ankles.

Last Sept. I began taking an oral drug called Soriatane. It had the least side effects and it has worked wonderfully, keeping the psoriasis under control and in maintanence mode. I still have little tiny breakouts which is fine w/ me Smiler I'm so happy to be able to wear skirts w/ no hose, bathing suits, shorts that a little dot here and there is nothing!!

Get a good Dermatologist and try these products!

Wow lwernig that is good news. I will tell my friend about this. Right now his breakouts are much less though it still bugs him pretty often. What has worked for him is going semi vegetarian. He now only eats fish, fruit, and plants and stays away from anything rich. I will encourage him to ask his doctor about these products though.

I was 'diagnosed' w/stress-induced psoriasis about a year ago. the problem i had w/that diagnosis at the time dealt w/celiac-related dermatitis herpetiformus, which looks & behaves like either eczema or psoriasis depending on gluten intolerance, dairy intolerance & usually a combination of both.

A Dr. Colbert also discovered his psoriasis was triggered by stress & aggravated by a group of very common foods known as the nightshade family. Sure enough, as i've been avoiding tomatoes, potatoes, bell peppers & eggplants, the inflammation subsides.

Celiac is an inability to process any glutens from wheat, rye, barley, usually oats, & even corn. The proteins glue up the small villi in the small intestine preventing absorption of essential nutrients & minerals.

Excess cortisol produced by stress, hormonal surges & emotional reactions to perceived &/or real circumstances show up in my case as, stress-induced psoriasis, & is aggravated by the celiac-related dh.

Using CP's, emu oil, organic coconut oil, squalene, & eating additional Omega 3 oils which are anti-inflammatory internally has gradually provided relief. Staying off all flour, sugar (the white stuff) & for the most part, dairy & the nightshades is proving beneficial as well.
