I have keratosis pilaris just on my upper thighs. I've had it all my life- probably was born with it! I think it may be genetic because one of my nephews has it on his thighs too.
I don't have any problems with it, as in itching but I find it unattractive. Would the CP's work at helping to heal this condition ? I haven't tried it yet, because I don't want to waste mine... I figure this may need something stronger than the body lotion. I was thinking something like trireduction or super cop (which is what I am using on my face)? Any other suggestions what can help? By the way I take a lot of Fish Omega 3's and Flax oil.. thanks much, Flicka |

Retin A works on it really well as does a BHA to a lesser extent. I have a small amt on my arms and can get it to go away w/ the acids (retonic acid/Retin A or salicylic acid/BHA)
The CPs did not do as much for the KP, but using the Body Lotion w/ the Retin A would be a really good combo. Alternate nights w/ this treatment. |

The CPs work well on KP but your must also spot treat them with a strong hydroxy acid.

OK, thank you to both of you !
Can you recommend a good BHA or AHA or would Lacsal be strong enough? (I have some Lacsal at home) Also, if it gets better and I see results, will it come back again? I had never thought anything would work on it and it has been pretty mild compared to some pictures I've seen on the internet. Strangely enough, it gets better, almost gone, in the in the summer momths, if i wear shorts and get out in the sun. Go figure that for dry skin! Do you have the same experience foxe? I also had a question re: retin a. Does it thin the skin? thanks again. This message has been edited. Last edited by: Flicka, |
