Dear users,

I purchased a face wash from a store that contained microcrystals to exfoliate dead skin cells. The problem is, I used it too aggressively and damaged my skin.

Any help would be nice.

EDIT: Yes, the copper peptides do work.

Anyways...

My skin seemed to be more plumb and full before around my cheek area. Now it's flattened out. I applied emu oil, but I'm afraid that the CP serum will leave it tight and flat.

Also it's obvious that my skin is thinner because it's getting acne breakouts all the time.

Help!

I wouldn't sit under the sun after exfoliation which may make the skin more vulnerable to sun damage.

The acne breakouts aren't a sign of thinner skin from my POV. They may just be a sign of irritated skin.

Since you're a 21 year old male, your skin is likely to recover quickly from any irritation/tightness. My guess is in a week or two you will once again be making women swoon.

Actually, a man who is perfectly beautiful is not as attractive to me. He is too likely to know it!

Well the tightness did leave after two weeks, but my cheeks are still furrowed after the exfoliation.

i'm thinking of supplementing with Vitamin C ester,c opper, biotin and using SRCPs and emu oil to fix this. Bathing underneath the sun anytime outside of 11-4 is okay because my skin won't be burnt, only age back to normality. But I definitely need to fix my collagen/eslatic extracellular matrix that I wrecked.

I'm not laughing at you. You make me smile. Smiler

Very funny and true, Zuzu. I'll add to the list: humor, thoughtfulness, intelligence, wisdom, and empathy.

That's good insight, Roke, and with that insight you can learn to be a better person.

Most people are frightened, even very good-looking people. Smiler

Lucky for you and lucky all of us our bodies have pretty impressive regenerative powers so with a little TLC I suspect you'll be just fine, Roke. I gotta say, that the more I live the more I see that good looks are not always such a great gift because they can sometimes interfere, delay a person's ability to develop certain skills that can be useful in life. Also, there can be external "beauty" and there can be internal "beauty" which are not always consistent in a person.

TLC stands for tender loving care
Well I bet most people on the planet would prefer to be good looking than not good looking if not the beauty industry wouldn’t be so big. If you’ve got the looks it’s in your interest to be smart about it in a way it doesn’t backfire, eh? But most important, be true to yourself, that is key to experiencing life fully and experiencing joy, for as Dr. Seuss said, the people who mind don’t matter and those that matter don’t mind. All the best.

And what is this "TLC"? Is it available in pill format?

You're kidding, right? BTW, TLC comes in suppository form. Big Grin

If you really believe this to be the case, maybe you should get this checked out by a dermatologist. I still wonder if you might be misinterpreting the cause of your facial changes, but honestly I have no clue. This is just a message board and none of us here (besides Dr. Pickart) are anything more than amateur skin-care fans sharing tips amongst ourselves. I wish you lots of luck!

How much should I sue the face wash company for?

Zero. ø

Roke, unless you're using Drano to clean your face, a face wash cannot cause fat loss. If it could, it would be marketed to women *pronto* for hips, thighs, etc. Maybe you are just losing your "baby fat." You're like 21, right? C'mon, Roke, get real.

I like you, so tell me, what's the deal?

BTW Roke, would you mind posting ALL the products you have been using on your face? Thanks.

I am not pretending to be an expert, but I think that I can offer some reasonable advice.

First, I trust that you stopped using the Adidas face cleanser. Perhaps it had perfumes and high pH. That can do a number on your skin (though it won't melt fat from your face.) Do you live in a city? You should go to a drugstore and get a mild, pH appropriate cleanser of 5.5 - 7.0. Get one that does not have fragrances.

What other products are you using? Do you use SB products, and, if you do, which ones?

You are NOT dependent on vitamins! You need a friend.

Can you list everything that you are using on your skin?

You can become dependent on vitamins, but you can ween yourself off this dependency, it is not permananent at all. Though I think zuzu is right, you are probably feeling weak due to being depressed. I don't beleive the fat enzyme thing either, but not my area of expertise. Copper peptides do plump up the skin and the subcutaneous adipose layer, so your condition should be reversible in quite a short period. Thou I guess to a 21 year old a few months isnt that short.
