Hi,

I've been reading up on copper peptides with some interest and for quite a while.

I have reasonably sensitive skin, with mild rosacea which is prone to breakouts and clogged pores. I wouldn't say I have "bad acne" but more "persistent acne". I have found that using lighter-textured/weight products (like serums rather than creams) helps a lot. I have also found that not using sunscreens daily helps (and when I do use them I can only use ones contain mineral filters).

I am 40 years old and don't really have any winkles or sagging (in fact, my skin when not broken out looks rather good). My pores aren't particularly large or visible and I don't really have any acne scars. I do have some pigmentation from spending more than 30 years sunbathing back in Australia, but the pigmentation doesn't really bother me (in fact, I feel it makes me look healthy). I don't suntan deliberately any more though, but I do venture into the sun quite often as I'm a photographer with a passion for street photography.

So, my question is, is it worth me using products containing copper peptides as a kind of preventative measure? Will they be of any benefit to my skin?

Thanks in advance to anyone who cares to answer/offer an opinion Smiler

Josh.

Nevermind.

I ordered a few products (the foot cream, the Skin Signals, the CP Serum and the Exfol Serum and my partner brought them back from the US for me). There is no way I could stand these products on my face. The fragrance is absolutely vile. I know that's very subjective, but these smell EXACTLY like a toilet cleaner that's available over here.

I've put them in the bin. You should really consider adding no fragrance to your products or alternatively finding one that is more pleasant than this.

We have very few complaints such as yours.

I don't know what such cleaners smell like and probably never will.

I would have though that you might have shown a little more concern that a customer (and you can easily verify my purchase) has put $60 worth of products that they've just received into the garbage bin.

The simple solution would be to formulate your products as fragrance-free. It's also better for those with more sensitive skin or skin allergies.

Smells are very personal. What one person likes another hates.

If you don't like the smell of the products, the best approach is to buy a scent that you like and mix it with the products.

Many top models and actors love our products.

I say they smell bad because they do. I wasn't going to throw them out initially but so I gave them to a close friend who, well, needs a little assistance in the anti-aging department. She took one whiff of the Skin Signals Serum and said "oh yuck, no thanks". So, it's not just me.

No matter. A lesson learned. Back to my old policy of not buying products unless I can actually try them first.

I didn't and won't because to me the scent is very offensive.

There is really no need to add fragrance to products anyway. Fragrance, for *many* (including me usually) is irritating. I am always prepared to try a product with fragrance though as occasionally I've found one which doesn't bother my skin. But I simply cannot get over the smell of these products.

I'm unsubscribing this thread now as I've got no reason to hang about on this forum seeing as I won't be using the products. Feel free to delete my posts if you wish Skin Biology.

In defense of CPs JP, they are what they are..."Blue juice of the gods". You may jumping the gun by trashing them because they are very effective in anti-aging & skin renewal. Actually, I know a few who would dive right into that dumpster... Big Grin

Exfol has no real scent, but the stronger & older the CP product a little stronger the scent can be, but the serums like Skin Signals & CP Serum where you are only using a few drops, dissipates instantly. Like many others, I use CPs all over my body & I not offensive to anyone...believe me, my husband would let me know... Roll Eyes

It's funny because I had my septic system pumped the other day & I teased the "pumper guy" & asked aren't you going to put some nice "Lavender" down in that hole?...he just winked at me & smiled... Wink

Yes Dee, I use Super CP Serum allover after my shower followed by the Lavender Body Lotion. I like Tri-Red Cream on my neck & chest.

To get your CPs to penetrate better, be sure to exfoliate your skin regularly with a microdermabrasion scrub or cloth. Also daily use of LacSal -or- Exfol helps with old cell turnover rate.

Just in case, I also use my NEW secret weapon "Llang Llang/Nutmeg" to ward off all evil forces!... Big Grin

Hmmm.... may be in the minority here, but I actually like the smell of the milder copper-peptide products (the P&R line). Smells nice and clean to me. Super Cop is not as nice-smelling but I use it on my body so it doesn't bother me. I don't know what all the fuss is about. I would much rather use something proven effective, than something that 'smells nice' but doesn't have any scientific reseach supporting the efficacy of the product. JMO.
